DfC Make the Call- Are you getting all the support you are entitled to?
The Department for Communities (DfC) are currently engaged in providing a multi-strand approach the benefit uptake programme. This includes:
Ringing the Make the Call helpline on 0800 232 1271. This will provide clients with free confidential needs assessment, and will give advice on other government supports and services available to them such as the Blue Badge scheme.
Community Outreach officers: These officers will conduct home visits with vulnerable people to provide assistance and support with benefit claim completion, providing information on other benefits, support and services.
Developing effective partnership portfolio: This is done with government, wider public sector and the voluntary and community sector.

The helpline is available Monday to Friday from 9.00 am to 5.00pm. If you are vulnerable and require face the face assistance the Community Outreach officers can conduct home visits to support benefit claim completion as well as providing information on other benefits, supports and services available.
