Repeated review of older people’s medical cards is ‘harassment’, says Tánaiste
Tánaiste Eamon Gilmore has described as “harassment” the repeated review of discretionary medical cards, especially for elderly people. He acknowledged there was a problem in the way discretionary medical card reviews were being carried out, but said 96 per cent of those reviewed kept their cards.
